Auckland has cracked a vaccination milestone; 81 percent of the eligible population's had one dose of Pfizer.

There is a push this weekend to get more vaccinated. The carrot is a possible alert level shift when Cabinet meets on October 4 with Te Pirimia Jacinda Ardern hinting the chances could be better if the city hits 90 percent with a single dose of Pfizer.
