The Climate Change Minister has denied he's receiving special treatment in the MIQ system for a trip to Scotland later this year but the Prime Minister has confirmed he's got a spot.
James Shaw plans to travel to Glasgow with a delegation for climate talks in November.
Opposition parties now say the trip should be scrapped to free up precious MIQ spaces for New Zealand ex-pats desperate to get home.
