A major search is on at a remote and rugged settlement on the west coast of the North Island for a man and his three children.
Police say they have serious concerns for Ōtorohanga man Thomas Phillips, who has gone missing in the King Country.
Searchers are looking for the 34-year-old - as well as five-year-old Ember Phillips, six-year-old Maverick Callum-Phillips and eight-year-old Jayda Jin.
Police say it is out of character for Mr Phillips to go missing and they are scouring the coast, small settlements and going door to door looking for the family.
