Months of work binned as lockdown hits flower growers

From Checkpoint, 5:25 pm on 8 September 2021

Spring has sprung at the same time as level 4, forcing Auckland's flower growers to bin months of their work.

Under alert level 4 they aren't able to sell or distribute their goods but can't simply stop their flowers growing.

They're desperately calling for the government to allow them to operate with contactless deliveries or to be allowed to sell to other essential businesses.

Checkpoint reporter Louise Ternouth and Camera Operator Marika Khabazi went to visit some of them.
