Govt extends pause on new MIQ spaces

New Zealanders overseas have been told by the government to adjust expectations and cancel any summer plans, as MIQ spaces are needed for the under-pressure system.

The government has extended its pause on new bookings for managed isolation for at least a few more weeks.

It is more bad news for New Zealanders stuck overseas, but there is some hope on the horizon.

When the booking system eventually reopens, the government is promising a fairer model.
