Lockdown is working, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says, but as Covid-19 community case numbers are still high, the country is staying in lockdown level 4 until 11:59pm Tuesday 31 August.
After that Auckland and Northland will stay in level 4 lockdown while the rest of New Zealand goes to level 3 restrictions.
