The Police Commissioner says he will not be routinely arming his officers - despite a new survey showing three quarters of the force want to be armed.
It's a decision that solely rests with him, but it's something the Prime Minister has also ruled out.
The Police Association, which commissioned the survey, says there's been a blurring of politics and policing in recent years, and the politicians need to step back.
