From Checkpoint, 5:13 pm on 2 August 2021

Pressure is mounting on the government to review its MIQ booking processes, to make it easier for those in exceptional circumstances to come home.

The government says there are 340 MIQ places available for people who need a space for exceptional circumstances.

Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins says he is seeking more advice from officials on how they can help people who need a room for an emergency need.
