Some Fiordland businesses are calling a new vision for Piopiotahi Milford Sound 'a game changer'.
The Milford Opportunities masterplan suggests charging foreigners an access fee, banning cruise ships and a new park and ride scheme.
Visitor numbers into Piopiotahi more than doubled in the six years to 2019, putting pressure on the iconic region.
