Australia 'will stand to account' on Aden case - Andrew Little

A senior Cabinet minister expects Australia will be held to account on the international stage for its treatment of terror suspect Suhayra Aden.

Aden and her two children will be deported to New Zealand from Turkey, where they've been held in detention since February.

The case became New Zealand's responsibility after Australia stripped Aden of her citizenship without warning.

Now the National Party is questioning whether the legislation that allowed Australia to so should be introduced here.
