New Zealand Rugby league is considering the future of unvaccinated players on the world stage after pulling out of the 2021 World Cup in the UK because of Covid-19 safety concerns.

It's not convinced the organisers bio-security plan was up to scratch and it says there was no detailed plans to get players home to New Zealand via MIQ after the tournament. Australia's pulled the pin too.

But NZRL boss Greg Peters admits there's also an issue with the number of people in the NZ contingent who are not vaccinated.
