Canada reckons with abuse, killings of indigenous children

An indigenous woman says her experience in the forced residential school system for indigenous people in Canada made her ashamed to be brown.

Geraldine Shingoose says she has cried every day since the first discovery of more than 1600 unmarked and undocumented graves at the schools, which were mostly run by the Catholic Church, and forced the assimilation of indigenous people.
