Officials are ramping up their presence at Pūtiki Bay on Waiheke Island, after an occupation escalated into violence.
Protesters have spent weeks planted in the way of the Kennedy Point Boat Harbour marina development which they say endangers a nearby little blue penguin or kōrōrā habitat.
