Lion King back on stage in Auckland after 18-month hiatus

After an 18-month-long hiatus due to Covid-19, the stage production of the Lion King opens at Auckland's Spark Arena tonight.

The production drew criticism earlier this year when more than 100 international cast and crew were granted rooms in managed isolation at the expense of New Zealanders wanting to return home.

But as Ella Stewart reports, all is forgiven now that the show's producers have recruited some Kiwi kids to join their Circle of Life.
