Details of the torturous electric shock therapy inflicted on children have been laid out in grim detail at the Royal Commission into Abuse in Care.
For the next two weeks the hearing will examine how those as young as eight were given the treatment while in state care at the Lake Alice Psychiatric Hospital in the 1970s.
