Aussie accent heard on streets of Rotorua, Queenstown again

The long weekend brought a glut of tourists to the North and South Island's unofficial tourism capitals.

While leaders in Queenstown and Rotorua suspect the vast majority were New Zealanders, anecdotally the Aussie twang is becoming increasingly familiar around the tourist towns.

And though no-one is claiming they're out of the woods yet, as Timothy Brown reports, operators feel they finally have their heads above water.
