Korean-born NZer fights extradition case at United Nations

The case of a Korean-born New Zealander who's been fighting extradition to China on a murder charge for a decade is set to head to the United Nations Human Rights Tribunal.

After 15 months of deliberations, the Supreme Court has today indicated the government can surrender Kyung Yup Kim to the Chinese authorities if it gets more detailed assurances he will get a fair trial and not face torture.
