A lack of progress on a cycle path across the Auckland Harbour Bridge is grinding the gears of Auckland Councillor Chris Darby.
Hundreds of people pushed past a police barricade yesterday and took over two lanes of the bridge, saying they're frustrated at delays in getting a trial cycle lane up and running by the summer. The lanes had already been closed by Waka Kotahi as a precaution.
Auckland Councillor Chris Darby made the dash with them and joins Lisa Owen to explain why.
