The government is introducing pre-departure testing for anyone who was in Victoria in the days leading up to the travel pause.

A freeze on quarantine free flights between New Zealand and Victoria is in place for at least seven days, while the state is in lockdown.

This new rule applies to people who are in other states, but had been in Victoria in the last week.

The Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins made the announcement a short time ago.
