Ardern speaks on reconnecting, but split families still in dark about future

New Zealand families separated by the Covid-19 pandemic are crying out to know when they might be able to reunite.

In a speech titled 'Reconnecting to the World', the Prime Minister offered no timeline on when New Zealand's borders could re-open.

Jacinda Ardern did not touch on when measures like the India travel ban would be lifted. Meanwhile, people in the tourism and rural sectors say they're going to need more of a leg up in the form of more money and extra exceptions for international workers.
