Calls grow to scrap handcuffing of female prisoners giving birth

There are calls for a policy allowing the handcuffing of prisoners before and after giving birth to be scrapped, but the prison officers' union says it's for the protection of staff.

Two separate reports by the Children's Commission into Mothers with Babies Units in prison have found incidents where women were restrained at different stages of labour.
