Labour laws face overhaul with fair pay agreements planned

Labour is forging ahead with the most radical overhaul of labour laws in decades, unveiling details of its promised Fair Pay Agreements.

The agreements would set minimum employment conditions for an entire industry or occupation and would be enacted if 10 percent of the workforce, or 1,000 workers agree.

But the government is being accused of holding businesses to ransom and introducing compulsory unionism.
