A New Zealand citizen who has recently returned from India has recounted the massive cost and stress of getting home.
Pushpindar Singh left New Zealand for India on March 29 to be with his dying grandmother in her final days.
But soon after he arrived, the New Zealand government announced a travel ban on flights from India, forcing Singh to extend his stay.
Even once NZ citizens in India were allowed to return to New Zealand, the lack of flights home presented yet another obstacle.
