China Business Summit: Ardern firm on NZ values, interests

There's been a blunt exchange between New Zealand and China today, with each country positioning itself for increasing diplomatic disagreements.

A major China Business Summit was held today, traversing the challenges facing both countries post-Covid-19, set against the backdrop of global volatility and diplomatic tensions.

China's ambassador has warned New Zealand about interfering in its internal matters.

But New Zealand says it won't turn a blind eye to actions that are in conflict with its own values.
