On day one of the trial for the man accused of killing Whanganui woman Jasmine Wilson, his lawyer has asked the jury to imagine small town provincial New Zealand, where meth is as freely available and family violence are part and parcel of everyday life.
Ms Wilson died after she was dropped off at Whanganui Hospital in July 2019 badly beaten, dehydrated and barely conscious.
