From 11:59pm Wednesday, new rules are in place for people travelling from 'very high-risk' countries.

New Zealand permanent residents in India, Pakistan, Brazil and Papua New Guinea now have to spend at least 14 days in another country, before they can fly here.

Doctors in Papua New Guinea say the Covid-19 situation there is only getting worse. As the number of people infected continues to rise, many hospitals are running low on basic supplies - some are even having to close.
