There was disappointment for some dedicated royal fans today - three self-proclaimed nanas turned up to Prince Philip's memorial service, hoping to slip into the pews.
RNZ reporter Harry Lock spoke to them and the diplomats, elected officials and iwi representatives that turned out to commemorate the life of Prince Philip, and his contribution to New Zealand.
