The annual gathering of top New Zealand athletes takes place with something of a twist in Auckland tonight.
With much of the 2020 sporting calendar sidelined by Covid-19, this year's Halberg Awards will instead recognise the country's biggest sporting achievements of the past decade.
Every category winner of the last 10 years is in contention to be named a "Decade Champion" - with a supreme award going to the best of the best.
