New Zealanders and Australians could be winging their way over the Tasman for quarantine free visits by the end of next month.
Since Australia pulled out of trans-Tasman bubble talks in February, this country has carried on with its own plan, and a proposal could go to the full Cabinet as early as Monday.
Pacific Islands could also get safe travel zones with New Zealand, with senior ministers long saying realm countries like the Cooks and Niue would be a priority.
