The Prime Minister is urging people to call out those breaking the Covid rules, but says it's up to police to prosecute.

A 21-year-old Aucklander, who should have been self-isolating, visited a number of locations last week while potentially infectious with Covid-19.

His mother went for a walk during the last level 3 lockdown, with another woman who has since tested positive with Covid-19.

Jacinda Ardern says it's not okay for some people to break the rules and let the rest of the country down.

She is asking people to call out family and friends who are not following the rules.
