Potential future for Dunedin's Ocean Beach unveiled

Locals have described it as the jewel in Dunedin's crown, and today the city council unveiled a possible future for Ocean Beach.

Covering more than three kilometres from St Clair to St Kilda, the area is a destination for visitors and locals.

But climate change hangs over the whole coast.

The council on Friday briefed media on possible plans to ensure its future for the next 100 years - our Otago-Southland reporter, Timothy Brown, was there.
