The political consensus over an inquiry into Pharmac looks to be breaking down - with Labour and National at odds over how it should be run.
National today asked the newly-formed health select committee to begin an investigation - only for the bid to be voted down by MPs from other parties.
The government says work is already underway on the inquiry and National's antics are in bad faith.
