The Breakers basketball team are preparing to set up camp across the Tasman for up to six months.
The team was due to leave tomorrow but have delayed their departure to coincide with the release of their American imports from quarantine in Australia.
They'll now head over on December 13 and be based in Melbourne for the Australian Basketball League.
Breakers owner Matt Walsh says other Australian cities were considered as a base for the club but they settled on Melbourne which is already home to two NBL teams.
