Councillor calling for more youth workers after shootings

A South Auckland councillor is calling for more youth workers in the area after a series of shootings during the weekend. There were six gang-related incidents in Otara on Friday and Saturday - five of which involved gunshots. No one was injured, but police officers were temporarily armed until this morning as they waited for the dust to settle.
