The touring West Indies cricket squad will be banned from training and confined to their hotel rooms after breaching the managed isolation rules on several occasions.

CCTV captured team members sharing meals and mingling in groups at their Christchurch hotel.

The West Indies players had special rules for their isolation period meaning they can train together in bubbles.

West Indies Cricket boss Johnny Grave says he was woken up by a phone call informing him of the news.
