NZ sees biggest recorded quarterly spike in unemployment
New Zealand's biggest ever quarterly spike in unemployment numbers has been announced - with 37,000 more people unemployed in the three months to September. Despite the record rise in the unemployment rate from four percent to 5.3 percent, it's still lower than what Treasury had been forecasting. But it's still a hard road for those who have lost their jobs, and are trying to look for a new one. Here's RNZ social issues reporter, Sarah Robson.
