The Pike River recovery operation is nearing another milestone, with workers now almost two kilometres into the mine drift.
Next month will mark 10 years since the mining disaster on the West Coast, which killed 29 men.
The Pike River Recovery Agency held a media briefing in Christchurch this afternoon, to provide an update on its progress.
Its chief operating officer Dinghy Pattinson says the recovery is on track despite Covid setbacks thanks to operational changes.
