Two debates down and it was back on the campaign trail for National leader Judith Collins.

She and her Labour opponent faced off the Newshub debate, but today Ms Collins headed north to unveil a new long term strategy for managing water.

National also announced $300 million for a dry dock in Whangarei, paid for by private investment and the Infrastructure Bank the party intends to create.

RNZ political editor Jane Patterson was there and filed this report.
