Abuse in Care Royal Commission resumes in Auckland

The Abuse in Care Royal Commission has been told of a young man being assaulted by a teacher at a school for the deaf in the 1980s.

The commission has resumed its public hearings in Auckland, focussing on evidence from survivors of abuse who have sought redress for what happened to them.

James Packer, who is now 49 was hit, slapped and intimidated by a teacher.
