Covid-19 alert levels down to 2 for Auckland, 1 for rest of NZ

From Checkpoint, 5:07 pm on 21 September 2020

From midnight tonight all of New Zealand - except Auckland - will move back to Covid-19 alert level 1, more than a month after the Auckland outbreak.

There were no new cases of Covid-19 reported on Monday. But Cabinet ministers have decided Tāmaki Makaurau needs a bit more time at level 2 and will meet in another fortnight to make a final decision.

But regardless of the alert level, people are still being asked to keep up with practices like good sneezing and hand washing hygience, and using the Covid tracer app.
