Bledisloe Cup: Australia to confirm games as quarantine fixed

From Checkpoint, 5:40 pm on 15 September 2020

The ball is back in Rugby Australia's court as the wrangling over looming Bledisloe Cup matches reaches the most powerful people on either side of the Tasman.

After calling Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison last night to clear the air, Jacinda Ardern today confirmed the quarantine rules have changed for the Wallabies.

They'll be able to train in small bubbles three days after they arrive, and as a full squad from day six.

All Blacks coach Ian Foster hopes that means everything's now in place for the Wallabies to cross The Ditch.

But Rugby Australia aren't rushing to confirm the games just yet. Clay Wilson reports.
