Human remains found entombed under an old Auckland villa have finally been identified - but the mystery of what happened and how they got there still lingers.
Police were called to a suburban street Mt Eden back in January - when contractors renovating an old boarding house uncovered bones under the house.
Today, police say they've finally identified the remains as those of David Stanley Hart, listed as one of the property's former owners.
