Auckland faces another a week in level 3 lockdown - with its planned end-date pushed out by four days.
The rest of the country will remain at Level Two for at least a fortnight.
The announcement come with a new ruling on masks - from Monday, everyone will have to wear a face-covering when travelling on public transport.
