With the election delayed MPs unexpectedly found themselves back at Parliament and National took full opportunity to challenge the government over border controls and testing.
Senior ministers including the Prime Minister have been on the defensive after it was revealed last week that - contrary to promises made to the public - a large number of people working at the border and in isolation facilities - were not being tested regularly, at New Zealand's most vulnerable point.
