Workers have been given exemptions to come to New Zealand to work on an all weather horse racing track in Cambridge raising questions from the Opposition about government priorities during the pandemic.
A synthetic, all-weather race track pushed by New Zealand First and funded through the Provincial Growth Fund is under construction in Cambridge in the Waikato.
Four workers from Australia have been granted exemptions to border restrictions to work on the track but National is asking why priority has been given to them over thousands of others.
