Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa descendants are overjoyed they can do up their wharenui - while also attracting their rangatahi back to their marae - with over $1.5 million from the Provincial Growth Fund.
The funding will support renovations on nineteen marae across Wairoa the Under-Secretary for Regional Economic Development Fletcher Tabuteau unveiled today.
