A woman has been sentenced to 11 and a half months home detention for the manslaughter of her partner.
A high court judge ruled the years of domestic violence Karen Anne Ruddelle faced, and her desire to protect her child, led to her offending.
She stabbed her partner Joseph Ngapera twice in the chest in November 2018.
Earlier this year, a jury found her guilty of manslaughter, not murder. Matthew Theunissen was in court.
