Govt decision on Covid-19 isolation charges 'very soon' - Ardern

"Very, very soon" - that's when the government says we can expect a decision on how and when returning New Zealanders will be charged for their stay in isolation hotels.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says an announcement will be made very shortly - and she's confident she won't have to reach across the aisle to National to get the regime over the line.

And with the Greens laying out their bottom line - it appears increasingly likely only New Zealanders heading away now for holidays or business trips will have to foot the bill.
