Christchurch Airport buys Otago land with airport plans

Big news for Central Otago today with news Christchurch International Airport Ltd has purchased 750 hectares of land near Tarras with a long-term proposal to build an airport on the site.

The site, around half an hour's drive from Wanaka, would provide another gateway to Central Otago and an alternative to Queenstown and Dunedin airports.
