Another case of Covid-19 has been caught at the border: this time a man in his 60s who has returned home from Pakistan.

The Director-General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield, says the man didn't have any symptoms when he arrived at Auckland Airport, but got sick while he was in managed isolation.

It comes as health officials continue to deal with the fallout from the bungles that led to two women being allowed to leave isolation on compassionate grounds, only to later test positive for the virus.

RNZ reporter Sarah Robson has the details.
